"I welcomed the fact that some important provisions, which had to be reformed following a Constitutional Court decision in December last year, were improved; these changes provide broader protection of sources, annulled the ban of certain content from print and online media and abolished the right of the Media and Communications Commissioner to interfere with editorial decisions in case of complaints. Other fundamental elements of the legislation have not been improved."
